Hmm, not a bad idea. We haven't implemented it, but it may be simple enough to consider for v3.13 which we are testing now.
As to other ways of doing it, easy - you can fool PATN by Importing the a-priori groupings as a Row Group composition. All you need to do is to use the same a-priori CSV file that you would use for importing the a-priori groups - i.e.,
group# for object 1, group# for object 2, group# for object 3.......group# for object N.
and use
File | Import Analysis Data | Row group composition (not a-priori groups)
Viola. You should probably then run Box and Whisker plots (on PATN groups = your a-priori now) to do the groups stats and then do
File | Export Evaluation Data | Row group statistics. That should do it.
